Bill Bratt Will Stand Down. Eventually.
Wed 01st Sep 2010 18:15 by portvale4ever

Chairman and CEO Mr. William Amos Bratt (pictured left) will stand down from his position according to a statement made by Bratt and released on the official club website. To see the statement in full click: http://www.port-vale.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10381~2141120,00.html

The goings-on between the Board and prospective investor Mike Newton have, during the past month, been mind-numbingly and soul-destroyingly tedious. The Board appear to be prepared to do anything to keep control of the Club, while Newton has done the political PR bit with the Fans, sitting amongst us during the games against Bury and Chesterfield.

The Board recently voted 5-3 against accepting the £400,000 offered by Newton, without really offering a satisfactory reason as to way the vote went the way it did. Newton has said - via the OneValeFan website that he will continue to 'monitor' the situation at Vale Park as he still has an interest...

It's nowt but cold potatoes to me, and all's I want is Chips'n'Gravy.
