Things look a little "blue" tonight.

Don't worry too much though. Back to Back, Bloomfield Road matches now.

Tuesday night v Middlesbrough
Saturday v Nottingham Forest

6 points from these two and Pool are still in the mix.

The Bloomfield Road pitch is a shocker. Pool are the only championship side who can play on it. Don't get too "blue" yet, fellow Seasiders, Clark and the boys in Tangerine can still save the day.

NB I wasn't at Carrow Road today and as of yet haven't dared to read any reports!

Wish I could share your positivity, Os, but the fact that we were quoted at 12/1 in a two-horse (or donkey) race today, highlights our plight.
The playing surface is not worthy of Championship football, but neither are we.
Boro and Forest will make more noise off the pitch and more headway on it, I fear.
I might not attend either match, as it would only serve to sadden me further.
As a Blackpool supporter, I have been treated with disdain, subjected to lies and listened to broken promise after broken promise.
I hope those who are intent on draining every drop of lifeblood out of MY Club are satisfied and, for the life of me, I don't know what we've done to deserve this fate.
Sleep soundly all, if you can, for the deed is done.
Re-election days were easier for me to accept than our current situation

spooner,

I feared a "Blue" response. You and other Pool fans must try to attend on Tuesday night and Saturday.

2013-14 Pool saved the day with the 2-0 at Wigan.

Is it too much to suggest that Pool could still be in with a chance of 21st place when we kick off v Huddersfield (at Bloomfield Road) on the last day of the 2014-15 season?

Don't get too "Blue" yet. The Pool boys can still save the day.
Don't forget, Clark pulled off the impossible with Birmingham on the final day last season.

For those of us that are rubbish at cryptic crosswords - would you care to explain the emphasis of the word "blue"?

"blue" definition is despondent or unhappy.

It is said that a person is "blue" when they are depressed.

4-0 is a bad result, but Pool fans didn't really expect to win at Carrow Road. Pool's goal difference is abysmal already, so 1-0, 4-0, 7-2 or 10-0 it makes no difference.

Pool now need 6 points v Boro and Forest.

I am not trying to be cryptic. "Blue" is a common expression used when someone is unhappy.

Pool can still claim that 21st spot in the 2014-15 Championship Table. I am sure of it.

NB Tejas,

Have you never heard the expression, "singing the blues?"

I guess that is where my use of "blue" comes from.

Also, from another post I picked up you will be at the Forest game and want an "Oyston Out" scarf. Arriving from darkest Norfolk!

If you walk inland down Bloomfield Road, on the corner of Bloomfield Road and Henry Street, on match days, is a man who sells football badges and scarves. He does a very nice "Oyston Out" badge for I think £2.00. He also has "Oyston Out" scarves and other items.

I often stop and look at his badge board on match days. He has a tremendous selection. He stands right opposite the "Burger / Chips / Coffee van." I myself am on a diet. So this van provides my Saturday afternoon lunch. It is good, wholesome, dieters food, keeping my weight down, causing all the ladies within the Bloomfield Road stadium to marvel at my Adonis like appearance!

Yours in Bloomfield Road information,
Osbourne!

6 points from these 2 and Blackpool are back in the mix? This has to be a wind up?

Seriously Ozzie we won't get another 6 points from now until the end of season let alone the next 2 games.

Scratcher,

Last 3 home results. Draw, win, win v Rotherham, Millwall, Brighton.

Pool are specialists in dealing with playing football on a ploughed field. Pool are the only side in the Championship who can play football on it.

Pool could easily get 6 points v Boro and Forest. Boro are not going to fancy it on a cold Tuesday night.

I know where you are coming from, but Pool could still, just about, get that 21st position, come the end of the season.

NB I'm not sure where the 1st away win of the season is coming from though!

Also, my Pool gambling account is really looking a mess now!

In case you hadn't noticed Millwall and Brighton were as choite as we were there league position tells it as it is think we will find Boro even Forest in a different class.

Scratcher,

You are suffering from the post Norwich "Blues."

By 10pm on Tuesday night you will be much more positive. By 5pm on Saturday next, you will be drinking to 6 more points in the bag.

Two 1-0's, 6 points, thank you very much.

Pool are "specialists" on a ploughed field. I do not know why you doubt my predictions.

We will see!

Thanks Os. I do understand the connotation of being "blue", I just thought you were leaking out some new info re the Knights, I put 2 and 2 together and got 9 - sorry!

I know the man on the corner with the badges. I will get myself a scarf at the Forrest game.

Cheers

dig4fire,

Just saying it how I see it.

The facts remain. Pool's away form is poor. Clark needs to find a way of picking up a few wins away from Bloomfield Road.

Pools home form is good. Draw, win, win. 7 points out of 9 v Rotherham, Millwall and Brighton. Pool could easily get wins against Boro and Forest in the next 2.

We will see.

No point in being "blue."
I have every confidence that Pool will still have their chance of claiming that 21st Championship position come Kick off v Huddersfield at Bloomfield Road in May.

Lee Clark saying pretty much the same post match v Norwich :

"We have got two home games coming up and we are on a good run at Bloomfield Road, but we know we have to start picking up points away from home as well."
