Macc have managed to sneak up to second after a good run and a good away win last night. I'd say it's currently odds on we'll get two old faces coming back into the League this year ; Woking and Forest Green are carrying the flag for the wannabe newbies.
I'd like to see Gateshead get back in ; they've been out of the league since before I was born.
Point being-maybe-you were less than enthusiastic when a local Fylde Coast side were winning it,yet seem to find the prospect of others doing well something to enthuse about.
You still got a chip on your shoulder about the Cods?
Apologies Robbie just read that back let's just say smartphone no reading glasses What I meant to say Good attempt at wind up - get back to the other site as I am sure you could cause a stir
OK Robbie as a one off and for old times sake post this on FOL Half the board think that's where will be in 3 years time whilst you wax lyrical about the Maccs BTW not having a pop
I did not mention the O's In fact i come on here to have a bit of a rest from it all No ,footballing conversations are OK by me which is why i would like to see the post on FOL As for the conference it is generally shit to watch and for the record i think we will avoid it but i am sure if we ended up in it there would be about 1200 at games saying "it's time we put the past behind us and get behind the team" Anyway have a nice evening and enjoy the game tomorrow
Living in Macclesfield i can honestly say that they dont deserve a football league club. That said met Efe Sodje last week at a petrol station and he was a gentleman
Hi Paul, when did you last watch a Macc Town game? The town is full of reds and blues with barely a Macc Town shirt to be seen. They are averaging about 1500 a game despite their good run of form and no one seems bothered about the club. Plus they have/had an owner who only bought them in an attept to secure UK citizenship
They are one of a number of clubs who are too close to the Manchester/Liverpool axis for comfort. Even Bolton and Wigan suffer because of it, so Macc are bound to find it hard. They were always Northern Premier League or thereabouts when I was growing up, so like Fleetwood the culture of following the local club isn't all that well established.
Careful as he'll have you on a technicality. He was schooled and brought up in the land of Cod but thinks being born in Blackpool gives his values some credence. If a dog is born in a stable does it make it a horse? (winks)
You should also stick with your local team unless of course it expedient to do otherwise, and of course fall on your sword at the same time (guffaw)
