Average attendance last season
at 09:06 25 May 2015

Interesting looking at out average last season - 10,928 (btw Bournemouth's was 8,480 and Brentford's 8,765 and they were top six) - lowest was Rotherham 8,354 but bearing in mind just how empty the stands were on some games you'd have to say we were probably lower than that for the second half of the campaign.

I'd expect 7,000 ST holders despite everything next season - mainly based on the 2 year deal - and topped up with a few interested home fans and the usual smattering of away fans that the average next season won't be much more than 8,000. So in 5 years the O's have halved the fan base - that takes some doing!!

Seems everyone else is!! Sure we'd chip in a free pass to the Pleasure Beach and a bag of chips at Harry Ramsdens!

Is 17 released a record for us?
at 17:58 19 May 2015

Staggering when you read the BBC article that we have made 17 people redundant - I've known small businesses make bigger headlines when they've gone bust with fewer employees! Be interesting come August to see how many of the 17 are still in work as Pro footballers!

Villa fined £200k for pitch invasion (but they left the pitch!)
at 18:56 14 May 2015

Can't help feeling that this is a drop in the ocean to what we could be fined and there is talk of fans getting their money back (love to see KOKO's face if that happened!). Expect more banning orders over summer.

Aston Villa fined £200,000 after FA Cup pitch invasions

Aston Villa have been fined £200,000 by the Football Association following pitch invasions at the FA Cup quarter-final against West Bromwich Albion.

Some home fans ran onto the Villa Park pitch in injury time and at full-time, while seats were thrown from the away fans' stand at the match on 7 March.

Villa, who won the tie 2-0, will face Arsenal in the final on 30 May.

The FA said the West Midlands club had also been "severely warned" as to their future conduct.

Dave Hockaday

Could be a match made in heaven for Oyston!

Dave Hockaday is a self-confessed loner, teetotal and his last job was in non-League... but is he the man to rescue Leeds United?

Any players you would keep?
at 14:05 27 Apr 2015

Beyond the ones already signed and Madine and O'Hara - any others you'd keep? I'd say Grant Hall and Donavon Daniels should be looked at again but after that I'm struggling!

How far behind PNE are we?
at 19:38 3 Jan 2015

Hard to believe just how far ahead of PNE we once were and now we're rock bottom of the Championship, arguably haven't one player of any worth and are watching crowds plummet.

Meanwhile PNE beat a Championship side to get to the 4th round of the FA Cup, flying high in League One and a JP Trophy semi final coming up.

If they replace us in the Championship it'll be the biggest slap in the face that KO could have dealt us.

Will Karl also get a ban?
at 10:38 1 Jan 2015

Wigan owner Dave Whelan has been given a six-week ban from all football-related activity and fined £50,000 for making racist comments about Jewish and Chinese people.
The 78-year-old, who has a week to appeal against the punishment, was also ordered to attend an education programme run by the Football Association.
Last month, Whelan accepted a charge but denied remarks he made during a newspaper interview were racist.
The FA Disciplinary Commission said it was "satisfied" Whelan "is not a racist" and did not intend to cause offence by his comments.
Whelan stated in November that he would resign as Wigan chairman if he was "found guilty of being a racist".

This is a BFC Forum - why do some see it as anything else?
at 11:40 29 Dec 2014

Regularly visit the old AVFTT but prefer this one for how it looks etc but I still don't get why people like BloodTangerine and co insist on calling this the pro-Oyston, deluded or even as today 'pussies' site. I don't think the whole time I've read this site that there has been anyone defending Oyston, people like Curryman are vociferous in their condemnation and the editorials regularly knock the guy.

Think more would use this site if that incorrect perception was finally put to bed.

A few positives from today
at 17:16 28 Dec 2014

Thought Eagles at the start of the second half was the player we need, Orlandi had arguably his best game in a Blackpool shirt and nice to see the kids come on (Clark making a point?)

Charles Dunne though has to be one of the worst left backs at BFC - is Clark too proud to ask Joan Oriol for help? Stupid if that's the case.
