Whites' linked with out-of-contract Coventry stopper.

Reports eminating from the West Midlands this evening suggest Leeds are one of a host of clubs chasing Coventry's out-of-contract Eire international keeper Kieron Westwood.

Westwood is apparently also being tracked by the likes of Celtic and Everton. However Leeds interest, if there is anything in it, will intrigue many as to what will happen to Kasper Schmeichel.

The Danish keeper was considered a coup by many when he chose to leave Notts County for ER in the summer, with Arsenal reportedly interested. However now Leeds seem unlikely to complete their promotion push, could Schmeichel join the other highly prized members of the Leeds squad such as Robert Snodgrass, Bradley Johnson and Max Gradel who may consider their futures away from Elland Road in the Premiership?

If Leeds are interested in Westwood, one would hope that it would be a signing to compliment Schmeichel and give the Dane some competion for the number one jersey particularly as present understudy Shane Higgs is out of contract in the summer.
