Meet The Ref - Bristol Rovers Sunday, 23rd Mar 2008 17:03 Matthew Phillips introduces us to the man in the middle for Monday night's Sky fixture Monday’s referee is Peter Walton from Northamptonshire; he has been a Football League ref since 1998 and became a Premiership referee in 2003. Peter Walton has taken charge of 18 Premiership games this season; he averages around 3 yellows per game and has sent off 5 players so far this season. This will be Peter Walton’s first visit to the Liberty Stadium, his last home game being the 2-1 home win over Chester in 2000. He did take charge of the away win at Yeovil earlier in the season – he booked 3 Swansea players in that game Guy Beale from Somerset and Roy Burton from Staffordshire will be the Assistant referees for our trip to Huish Park.
