Ten Questions For Our Board Of Directors

10 Questions For The Board.....

A week or so back we asked you, the fans, to generate some questions for the board of directors of Swansea City. We were inundated with over 70 questions and have narrowed down to the ten that we think best reflect the questions that the fans want answered. These are the questions that seemed to pop up the most often, we have combined some of the wording together to get the best worded question.

Apologies to anyone that has had their question left out - it simply was not possible to incorporate them all. These questions have now been posed of the board of directors and we can expect answers within the course of the next few days.

In the meantime, the 10 are

  1. If as seems likely that White Rock will be completed on time have the club any ideas as to whether they will hold open days at the new stadium before the season kicks off? These of course could be used as fund raising events etc ( maybe even the new shirt available on the day)
  2. As an exile and no doubt with little chance of a ticket for the final ever game at the vetch what are the club going to try to do to ensure that exiles get a fairer chance of getting in the ground on that final home game?
  3. The club stated that no cup money was included in the budget at the start of the season. Was there a projected loss for this season and will the money made from the cup run cover it. Will the increase in gates create a profit. How is a loss possible with a 60% wage cap in force?
  4. What are the Board's plans to improve communication channels with the fans, particularly with regard to keeping the official internet siteup to date andinformative, and to reverse the recent decline in the standard of the Official Programme?
  5. Do you have a commercial business plan with clear objectives and success criteria for the future? (e.g. To sustain year on year growth and sales increases(attendance) what are the plans for next season?)
  6. What is the precise contractual position with Bergoni for (a) supplying kit, and (b) running the shop. When does the arrangement expire and is it intended to renew? We seem to have one of the most fanatical fan bases in the lower divisions and some of the poorest merchandise - a formula that spells unrealised revenue. What does the club intend to do to improve the position?
  7. As the club approaches the end of the CVA, what difference will that make to way the club operates, and are there any obvious differences that we the fans will notice ?
  8. As has been mentioned before, the directors are responsible for different areas of the club, what areas are each director responsible for? This is not aimed at criticising as all fans fully appreciate that you work for nothing for the club.
  9. Fans are genuinely concerned that Berwyn Price thinks he's bigger than the White Rock Stadium project and the fear is the club will not show itself strongly enough in terms of it' s design and the facilities it has to offer. Are the club having a voice in it all or is Mr Price trying to go blind folded along his own path?
  10. WE all recognise that most of the decisions in the last few years have been short term based due to the economics and playing side of the club but what are the boards realistic plans for the next 12 months, 5yrs and 10yrs

Don't forget to check back in a few days when we should have the answers to these very questions. I'd like to thank all those people that took the time to send questions in. The opportunity was there for all to partake.
