Jason Scotland and Jordi Gomez are both set to be named in the PFA Championship team of the season

Swansea City's excellent debut season in the Championship will be capped with the naming of two of their players in the PFA team of the season on Sunday night.

Jason Scotland has grabbed 21 goals this term in the league and that in itself for the man who cost next to nothing to be nominated by his fellow professionals.

A goal tally of more than fifty goals in the past two seasons has not gone unnoticed with his fellow professionals and will be his second straight nomination for a PFA team of the season following last year's league one placing.

Gomez has been an instant hit in South Wales in his first season and his fourteen goals from midfield have left him as one of the hottest properties outside of the Premiership.   On a season long loan from Espanyol, Gomez has attracted the plaudits in the media as well as interest from the likes of Newcastle and Celtic who are keen to beat the Swans to his permanent signature.

That form also means that his professionals have voted him a midfield place in the centre of midfield.

The PFA's Players Player of the Year Awards sees the presentation of both the Fans' Player of the Year and the Young Player of the Year Awards to the winning players as well as the nomination of a team of the season from all four divisions.
