Darren Pratley says he is gutted to have been denied a clear cut penalty once again

The Swansea City midfielder was hauled down at what seemed to be inside the box at Forest only to see the referee point to the edge of the penalty area for the free kick denying the Swans the penalty and the chance to take the lead in Saturday's crucial game.

And now they must rely on Blackpool slipping up to have a chance of reaching the play off position that looked such a certainty for long periods this season.

Pratley though was amazed at the decision during the first half on Saturday and told the Western Mail “I’m gutted because I believe it was definitely a penalty

“I’ve asked the woman linesman and she’s said that she didn’t see anything and the referee’s given the free-kick.

“She’s obviously closer to the incident so she should make a decision. I’ve just seen it back on the video and you could argue it was on the line, but if it’s on the line, it’s a penalty.

“We asked the question why has the assistant not given it when it’s that side? If she’d given the free-kick maybe you’d be able to take it, but she’d not given anything which is a bit gutting.

“You expect a little bit better, especially with that one and in the second half as well I was inside the box and was pulled back. I had two good penalty shouts.

“It’s disappointing, but we’ve got one more game and we’re still positive. It’s frustrating you’ve got to rely on other people, that’s not good.

“But Blackpool have been relying on our results and they seem to be winning. So hopefully we can get one more bit of luck before the end of the season.”
