Sheffield United manager Kevin Blackwell believes the Swans can still make the play offs

Blackwell plotted the downfall of Swansea City on Saturday where two second half goals gave his side victory over the play off chasing Swans.

But he believes that the Swans can still make their goal despite the defeat and said after the game "I don't think we've killed off Swansea's play-off hopes

"I think it's still all to play for because teams have to put everything in even if they can't get promoted themselves.

"It would have been remiss of us not to try to beat Swansea this weekend — if I had been Ollie (Holloway), I would have been very disappointed if we'd slowed down or anything like that.

"I expect Bristol City will do exactly the same as we did and give exactly what we did. I have been through this sort of thing many times in my career and that's what you expect.

"The lads who came in did a job for us," Blackwell added. "It took us a while to combat Swansea's system, but we did that soon after half-time and from then on we created chances.

"We could have thrown the towel in at this stage of the season, but maximum effort is the minimum that is expected from Sheffield United players.

"Swansea are fighting for the play-offs, but it was our job to perform."
