The search for Lee Clark's first victory goes on as the New York Stadium failed to provide the Blackpool manager with three points. A late gaff by the Millers keeper ensured the 10 point gap between the two teams remained in place but Rotherham manager Steve Evans will probably be happier about that than Lee Clark who still has a massive uphill struggle to avoid the drop.

Both the home and away side fielded new loan players with Stuart O'Keefe and Kevin Foley started for Blackpool and Rotherham fielded three. James linked up well with Ben Pringle who sent in a dangerous ball that Blackpool captain Peter Clarke almost diverted in. Another loanee, Emmanuel Ledesma, one of seven Rotherham changes from their defeat to Birmingham last week, then fired a shot in that Matt Derbyshire almost connected with. Tom Lawrence then forced Joe Lewis into a strong save. Bottom side Blackpool then created a chance of their own but Collin was on hand to keep out Nile Ranger's header. Lewis at the other end then had to be watchful as Lawrence fired an inswinging corner in that would have crept in.

Rotherham's good start to the game faded drastically as the game became reflective of the two teams' lowly position in the table. The Millers were partially down to 10 men with Kirk Broadfoot receiving treatment before Kari Arnason came on to replace him. In that period Blackpool could have gone ahead when Tom Kennedy picked out Ranger with a pinpoint cross but the striker could not force his header on goal as the half finished goalless.

Chris Eagles had the first effort on goal in the second period and his bouncing shot from the edge of the box had to be gathered at the second attempt by Collin. Rotherham should then have capitalised from slack Blackpool marking from Ledesma's free kick. The Blackpool defence appeared to try and play an offside but left a queue of men free including Paul Green who could not quite glance the ball goal wards. Bowery was brought on in search of a Rotherham winner with the impressive Lawrence going off and the former might have been forgiven he had gotten it on 78 minutes. Bowery made space for himself down the left hand side of the box and cut inside to open up the angle before dragging his shot past Lewis.

Nathan Delfouneso almost hit back straight away after skipping by a number of challenges he fired a curling effort that went just over the angle of bar and post.. The game was levelled up on 85 minutes when Collin came out to clear an innocuous ball but missed his kick spectacularly and left Davies with the simple task of slotting into an empty goal. Rotherham tried desperately to get a winner in the final stages but Blackpool held firm.
