Blackpool v Brighton Preview
Friday, 30th Jan 2015 18:40 by Editor

January was always going to be tough month but Lee Clark must have hoped for more than one win and a cup exit. If Blackpool were going to have any hope of survival then winning home games and avoiding defeat at away games was the recipe. Whilst they may have seen off Millwall, the results at Wolves and Watford maybe show just how tough a task Clark has on his hands. With a home game on Saturday against Brighton whilst the six teams above them all head on their travels, this may be the final time that the Seasiders can claw back some of that 12 point deficit.

Blackpool will have new signing Joe Rothwell available after the midfielder joined on loan from Manchester United. Goalkeeper Joe Lewis's future remains uncertain after Lee Clark tried to send him back to Cardiff.

Brighton hope to have Beram Kayal available, with the signing from Celtic awaiting international clearance.
Striker Leon Best returns after he was cup-tied against Arsenal last week while midfielder Joao Teixeira could return after illness. Kazenga LuaLua, Andrew Crofts (both knee) and Dale Stephens (ankle) are still out.

With demonstrations planned outside the ground, to some degree if Blackpool don't win this one then events inside the ground will be a lot less significant.
