Norwich v Blackpool Preview
Saturday, 7th Feb 2015 09:21 by Editor

We're getting to that point of the season where sadly every win is more a 'stay of execution' than a lifeline. Lee Clark will know that we're now at the point that going unbeaten isn't enough, his side needs victories. Had the collapse not happened against Watford, his side could now well have been off the bottom of the Championship but as it is even a win at Carrow Road would only plug the many holes in our fight against relegation. 18 games to save the season for the Blackpool manager who will know that what happens on the road is arguably more important than the results at Bloomfield Road.

It's interesting that those who've decided not to place foot inside our home ground this season have had a worse time than those who've not yet joined the 'Not a Penny More' brigade. Not one win away from home and only 5 points to show for their trouble. Although ironically at least our travelling fans have seen us score more than one goal during a game this season! That said, everyone would take a scrappy 1-0 win at Carrow Road on Saturday afternoon especially going in to two home games in the space of 7 days. However, with Ishmael Miller now gone, not that he was prolific in front of goal, the question remains where those goals will come from with the chances of Clark starting with Clark as a lone striker highly likely again.

Blackpool are set to be without goalkeeper Joe Lewis for the trip to Norfolk. Clark revealed he'd been taken ill and did not travel with the squad, meaning youth team keeper Myles Boney could earn a spot on the bench. Defender Tom Aldred could make his debut after watching from the bench last weekend. Striker Tony Andreu is in line for his first start for Norwich whilst midfielder Jonny Howson is also available after serving a three-match ban.

It's a long time since Blackpool's player could enjoy their fish and chips on the coach home and with this being one of the longest journeys of the season, something from Carrow Road would undoubtedly ease that drive,
