The Case of the Missing Morty Statue

Call Jessica Fletcher! Morty has gone missing. As Blackpool fans prepare for 'Judgement Day' - so called because the Blackpool Chairman Karl Oyston asked fans to judge him at the end of the season - their plans to mark the occasion by placing memorabilia at the floor of the Stan Mortenson statue seem to have been usurped.
Mystery surrounds when the statue went missing and who has taken him. The statue was bought by the fans to honour the FA Cup hero and their will be widespread anger at his removal if there's not a legitimate reason for doing so. Ironic on the day that Lee Clark says he's put bids in for 5 or 6 players that one of our old boys seems to have left the club.
