News Stories for Tom Eastman

Colchester United Team Of The Year 2012/13 Fri 17th May 2013 12:00
With thanks to those that voted, we are now able to announce the Best XI elected for our inaugural Colchester United Team of the Year award.
Carlisle 0 U's 2 - Durham's View Sun 28th Apr 2013 21:30
Never in doubt – brilliant warm sunshine, superb performance, magnificent support, overwhelming celebratory scenes at the end. No it was not May 2006 at Huish Park but April 2013 at Brunton Park.
Oldham 1 U's 1 - Durham's View Tue 02nd Apr 2013 08:30
Colchester came away from Boundary Park with a creditable draw but it should have been another win to help ease the relegation fears.
Hartlepool 0 U's 0 - Durham's View Wed 06th Mar 2013 21:45
Much debate has ensued following last’s night football concerning the standard of refereeing. The curiously named Turkish Official Cuneyt Cakir was lambasted for his decision to send Nani from the field during the Champions League encounter between Manchester United and Real Madrid.
Stevenage 0 U's 2 - Noah's View Sun 03rd Mar 2013 11:15
Our 2012-13 away day pre-match ritual has always included breakfast at "Ponti’s" (Liverpool Street Station) at the table favoured by Tom Cruise in ‘Mission Impossible’. Now, having witnessed two consecutive away victories (n.b. we missed Bramall Lane), we superstitiously can't decided whether we should eat elsewhere next time.
U's 2 Yeovil 0 - Noah's View Wed 27th Feb 2013 12:45
Around 700 spectators left the stadium prior to Tranmere’s fifth goal and didn’t return last night. Hence, merely 2,367 saw the U’s make a mockery of Yeovil’s unbeaten in 2013 promotion chasing status. It is a shame that a town approaching a 200,000 population can’t muster more support for its local club, given that the U’s still have so much to play for, and on this evidence are far from doomed.
U's 1 Tranmere 5 - Noah's View Sun 24th Feb 2013 20:00
Despite the guile and dexterity of the perpetrators, one should only ever get your pocket picked once. It’s a shame Josh Thompson and Sam Walker had never learned this lesson, nor had Joe Dunne ensured they had buttoned pockets in their shorts after half time.
U's 1 Preston 0 - Durham's View Mon 11th Feb 2013 17:45
Lilywhites fail to live up to their name. This weekend was somewhat special, the opportunity to meet Mr Happy and his son Brightspurs (who currently leads the prediction league) and to see Colchester deservedly defeat Preston North End.
U's 1 Scunthorpe 2 - Noah's View Sun 13th Jan 2013 11:12
I am informed that I was just six months old the last time the U’s suffered nine league consecutive defeats (1954); so this is uncharted territory.
Crawley 3 U's 0 - Noah's View Wed 02nd Jan 2013 18:30
Watching the warm up shooting practice, it occurred to me that Gavin Massey, Freddie Sears, Woody, big Clinton and others were all struggling to beat Carl Pentney and/or even hit the target. It was however encouraging seeing how newcomer George Porter was consistently tucking them away with much precision before 3.00pm. But sadly, he didn’t get a single chance within the game itself.
