Pete; no disrespect (as your time commitment and HGPL organizational skills are very much appreciated), but I can't help feeling that this WC PL competition has become a lottery with an outcome too heavily dependent on just two (from 32) matches. Predicting scores/results (as normal) does require some analytical/predictive skill. But the rest of the requirement below is pure lucky guesswork. Yet it is potentially possible to secure (say) 13 ADDED points from the incidentals even if one has predicted the WRONG scores/results and hence 19 points in total might be possible from merely these two matches. Others may disagree, but (IMHO) such over-weighting devalues the points/skill level of the first 30 games.

How about "how many necks bitten", "how many dives for penalty", "how many throw-in's", "how many extra minutes in first half, second half, and extra time", penalty shoot out scores, as surely the final will have one? I think the point is eluding you.
The Final is more important than the other games, and there is an odd compelling nature about the 3rd place game. Furthermore, the other predictions are very difficult to nab points for. You seriously believe someone will run the table with spot-ons all around?
PLers have barely been able to predict scorers. Do you just want me to hand you the title? Perhaps you would have preferred if everyone had been eliminated and we were left with four standing in a one-off semi, then final?
In that case Neither You or Mick would be in the final!...
Be that as it may, Well guess what? that's pretty much the scenario. 5 are realistically in the hunt for the title. By your logic, only you and MFB are deserving to have anything to play for. Dude, let's keep it interesting for all of us, ok? I'm playing for pride and table position.
