U's are putting their cards early on the table , Freddie and Big Sam both are out of contract at the end of the current season , so Big Sam has been offered a two year deal and Freddie has open up talks .
Makes sense to start early than leave it to the last minute.
Meanwhile Holman has gone out on loan to Aldershot and Josh Thompson to Tranmere Rovers , both to gather match practice .
