Plus I love the references to the Littlewoods Cup and the Sherpa Vans Trophy and the Freight Rovers Trophy not to mention the Auto Windscreens Shield 
As we're about to face this mighty club, thought that the young'uns would be amused to indirectly see both Posh and ColU in their rise, progression, regression, and so on from Division Three, to Four, to Three, Division 2, to nowadays, head to head. Not to mention, back in the day P'Bore and Colchester sometimes played twice in a week. I think it is an interesting mirror to days gone by. Sure the match day programme had on the front cover the players in Santa beards and hats , gifts were aplenty on the field . Also a enormous crowd , and when walking home down Butt Rd almost got herded by the police into the Boro supporters, being escorted into town and the station . |  |
