The Youths exit at the third round stage against the Tractorboys on penalties after a goalless match after extra time . At a blustery WHCS, a disciplined battling display restricted the vistors to mostly long range efforts although the U's keeper beat out a pile driver with minutes to go and made the save of the match just after half time from a direct free kick destined for the top corner.
Full credit to both teams throughout with the vistors having the majority of possession , but unable to find that final deft pass against a U's side that played a effective 4-5-1 formation .
It was strange at present to see a clean sheet from a U's side, and learnt to keep it tight early on rather than chase a game like the previous round.
Two MINOR criticism would be to get the ball into the box from the last free kick of the match rather than leave in short and put the first penalty home , but both can be put down to tiredness .
Overall think they might be disappointed in a mature performance in ones so young.
