THENET and BFG made the headlines last week, by being joint top scorers. This week they both make the headlines again. THENET, by getting an incredible 17 points, became only the third person in the history of the Happy League to achieve this. He is also the first person ever to get five spot-on in one week. Superb predicting, well played. He was one of the ten members to predict West Ham's 2-0 win. This was the weeks most predicted result, closely followed by the nine who had Cheltenham's one all draw. Those two popular results were the main reason for making this the highest scoring week of the season so far. BFG had both of those and by also getting Coventry's one all draw, and four other outcomes, had an excellent 13 points. Those 13 points moved him up an amazing six places in the Premier. In fact he would have gone from relegation zone to Charity Shield in one hit, if it was not for his brother SEVEBALO producing his best ever week, with a brilliant 14 points (three spot-on and five other outcomes). Those points moved him up five places into second, though 13 points behind MRHAPPY, who extends his lead with a solid 10 points. The only other move of significance in this league is downward, as ETHICSGIRL drops into the relegation zone for the first time this season.
In Division One THENET's heroics enabled him to extend his lead to 13 points, and dare I say it, is looking good for promotion. Rookie SECTOR4 equaled his seasons best, with a very good 12 points (including three spot-on), and moved up three places, and must be hopeful of at least a play-off spot at the first attempt. The spot-on king BLUENWIGHTEXILE was the only one who thought Man. Utd. wouldn't win, and was rewarded with 3 points, for predicting the one all draw. A good 10 points for COLUKEV, enough for him to squeeze into the final play-off place. It was a bad week for Daniel not to predict, and he drops five places in the process.
Now only one week, and six games left for Champions League qualification. The eleventh and final qualifying spot is now held by THRILLSEEKER again, with 77 points. But with four people within two points of this score, this is still as close as it has been for weeks now.
