First double of the season on the cards for the super U's on saturday 22:55 - Jan 23 with 277 viewsdurham_exile

TH attempts to secure a morale boosting and increasingly rare home victory and thus achieve a very welcome double over our East London opponents on Saturday.

It has been an eventful week at the WHCS with three new arrivals; Chris Porter on an 18 month deal from Sheffield United and Matthew Briggs and Jack Marriott, loan signings until the end of the season, from Millwall and Ipswich Town respectively.

It is likely that all three will be involved at some stage tomorrow and I believe that Chris Porter will start, lead the line and will score a debut goal.

There is no doubt that the squad has been strengthened by their arrival and what TH has to manage is a reversal in our lamentable home form, which threatens our very league one survival.

So with injuries still to Gilbey, Wright, Olufemi, Magnus, Kent, O’Donoghue and Ibehre TH will focus on the following line up on a 4,3,3 formation:

Walker

Clohessy Gorkss Eastman Wynter

Fox Moncur Watt

Hewitt Porter Massey

Subs: Lewington Briggs Lapslie Sembie-Ferris Szmodics Marriott Healey

Orient have already publically stated that they let their supporters down during the reverse fixture but if we are to get out of this self-imposed mire, we must win our home games, starting tomorrow.

After all 27 points are still required to survive which is crucial to the short term future of our team.

Cambridge United demonstrated this evening that there is quality in league two and that it would be increasingly difficult to get out of said league if the worst were to happen.

Time to stand up and be counted, face the music and demonstrate to our largest home crowd of the season that we can win at the WHCS.

Enjoy the game, keep the faith.

Up the U’s
