Morning All 08:17 - Mar 28 with 554 views | wessex_exile | Sit back and relax, as thanks to the international class of Swinedon (and you'd never have envisaged seeing those two in the same sentence) the Humes' Heros have a weekend Easter shopping with the WAGS, whilst being in the enviable position of knowing whatever happens today, they can't move further down the table. So, here's my take on preferred outcomes for 5pm today. Bradford v Oldham: Both safe, and both with fading hopes of sneaking a play-off spot, so either a Bradford win to leapfrog Oldham, or a draw will do just as nicely. Bristol City v Barnsley: Bristol City to win, to keep the pack of those hunting a play-off spot nicely bunched. Chesterfield v Walsall: I think realistically Walsall are safe now too, but to keep the play-off pack as large as possible a Chesterfield win please. Crawley v Gillingham: No question about this one, Gills to win (by a big margin please). Leyton Orient v Port Vale: Port Vale to win, or at worst a draw Notts County v Scunthorpe: On the basis of us needing to stay as close to fifth from bottom as possible, this has to be a Scunthorpe win, even if at the expense of effectively seeing them move beyond our reach. Peterborough v Coventry: Got to be Peterbore all the way. Rochdale v Yeovil: Yeovil already gone, Rochdale to apply the coup de grace. Sheff Utd v Crewe: Despite an upturn in form a while back, Crewe remain in the relegation slots, and I think with their exceptionally poor GD are destined for League 2, so lets hope Sheff Utd prove me right. Overall, there aren't too many possible results today that could cause us a huge amount of damage, but I'd reckon a Notts County win is about the worst of them.

Morning All on 09:54 - Mar 28 with 542 views | durham_exile | Morning Wessex - agree with every word. My only concern is allowing any of the fellow strugglers the opportunity to escape. Therefore (although I have actually predicted in the Happy league a County win), I hope that Notts Co and Scunny fight out an ill tempered draw! A red card or two wouldn't go amiss. With the Glovers already reduced to a "Farewell to Arms" with back to back relegations, there are still 6 other clubs battling with the U's to avoid the drop. Let's keep all of them in the mix. Only 6 points separate Scunny, Coventry, Notts Co, Crewe, Crawley and Orient plus ourselves and all are fighting to avoid three unwanted places. Most still have to play one another and ideally draws rather than victories keeps the relegation pot boiling. Our next three games over the Easter period are arguably more vital than any others, because, we cannot afford to be cut adrift like Yeovil have been. Away matches at Port Vale and Coventry are both winnable, Barnsley (Home) are the form team at present. 7 points from these three would signal intent and could well be the key to retaining League One status. Good Friday in the Potteries is going to be a game for only the hardiest of supporters to endure. The pressure will be immense but no more than the win or bust final game at Carlisle was for all concerned. Whilst initially disappointed about the Swinedon game being rearranged, it does give a weekend for some clarity and for players to re-evaluate their commitment to the cause. Three successive years struggling to avoid the drop is the reason why we must prevail this season in order to gain the momentum that the continually emerging youngsters will surely benefit from next season in league one. Oh and I for one would like to see Sanchez Watt involved at some stage. He is a match winner and when the chips are down (as they are now) will find that commitment and additional quality to help secure our league one status. Keep the faith. Morning All on 16:35 - Mar 28 with 494 views | wessex_exile | All going a bit Pete Tong at the moment to be honest: Crawley drawing 1-1 Orient winning 2-1 Notts County winning 2-1 Coventry winning 1-0 Crewe drawing 1-1 The only real positive is Yeovil are losing 2-1, but they're already doomed anyway I reckon.

Today's results have changed little. Still any 3 from 7 to join the Glovers. Coventry are still very much in it, despite Peterbore's home profligacy. I still think we need 51 points to be safe. Up the U's
