Not to nitpick, but it is the 7th Charity Shield of the 12th The U'sual PL. --wait, can I call it that? I refer to our U's-dedicated PL in the "interactive," Daniel's PL. Semantics and all that...
There was even a time when I believe Thrillseeker was promoted midseason, Boxing Day, and was able to carry his points to the Prem. And then I think he won(?) --no disrespect. That was how the rules were defined. And Thrillo's final point total was fabulous. I even suggested to our PL'ers that we combine the two divisions into one. But there is something kind of cool about the promotion and relegation process. Adds spice.
I deleted the option of Boxing Day promotion for Division One players. I didn't believe that was fair, to go up in December and grab all the points with you. That being said as I'm in D1 again. But I did get promoted as having ultimately having finished 2nd, 7 years ago  .. the top two should definitely go up automatically, but at season's end.

I honestly don't know when the first D1 "playoffs" was implemented. But anyway. I believe you get my point.

The prizes are pretty darned neat. Very sentimental. --although Haps and I are seemingly having a row, I remind, he gave me a real Derby shirt and the centenary Derby scarf, from 1984, priceless ... on one visit.
Daniel gave me a rare Colchester United cup for winning his league, one he created, a very limited edition.
Dan offered me a shirt. I was chuffed to bits that our king admin would do that. But I purchase a shirt and lots of other things everytime over at the WHCS supporters shoppe every time over. I help keep em in business, I feel :D .. But the cup was great, and one of a kind. You mates really take care of me when I'm over.
