Saw that too. On face value, he's shown he can score goals so I wouldn't be unhappy if he did (though his play-acting to get Okunghae sent off - even if it was probably a red card anyway - doesn't help), but is he any better than Porter in the same role? I definitely don't think so. I wouldn't be surprised to see Mooney end up at Sarfend or Cambridge? |  |

My Orient contact saw Mooney last Friday.
No offer from Colchester because "they don't have the budget" but apparently he does like the chairman. Southend want to sign him but he's not that keen as it is a lot further away from where he lives. I assume that means further from home than Orient or Colchester.
I take from what I've been told that the U's have been in touch but are not in a position to do a deal...yet. | |
