Quite remarkable really - when your brief is only to show the goals from the Football League, mixed in with some expert opinion, I am genuinely impressed that Channel 5 could get it quite so badly wrong! Ironically, the 9pm time slot should have meant no more need to record it, but their format makes that even more essential if you're not to sit through the entire 90 minutes of cack!

I caught the Football League show on BeIN sports a few days ago. It was mainly about the Championship. And the two games that were broadcast.

The revolving (and meaningless) league table was a particular low point. I actually don't mind both George Riley (shit hot on snooker and egg-chasing) and Kelly Cates but whoever dreamed up the format doesn't follow football. Cringe-fest from start to finish. |  | | |

I watched it for the first time tonight. It's not quiet March of The Day is it?! Not sure i get the, Top Gear style, studio audience or the need to meet guests as they enter the studio and walk them over to a TV screen to stand in front of. And Adam Virgo? Is he the most charismatic pundit they could find? Still, I'm liking the time that it is on and i like the form that comes up on the score card at the start of each game.
