Perfect name for the job? 20:57 - Sep 30 with 3409 viewsLeadbelly

Had to laugh earlier today when a member of the Volkswagen board appeared on TV. Let's hear it for Herr Olaf Lies!

There must be other examples of people with the perfect name for their profession or a particular situation that has attracted media attention.

Love it!

As a stage name (of sorts) it probably doesn't count, but Ben Dover?

Phil McAvity may be made up but presumably in the same line of business as Mr Dover.

I suspect so.

Thomas Crapper is a good example, though that is obviously a case of cart before the horse...

Some years ago there was a firm in Hadleigh called De'ath...builders and funeral directors.

University of Calcutta professor of facial dermatology...John Bukkake. If anyone doesn't get that one just be careful who else is around when you Google!

A friend and colleague in our SE regional office is a De'Athe, but his job is digging up the evidence of dead people, so there's no humour there...oh, hang on...

John Bukkake though - seriously!?

Cue another debate about Captain Pugwash...... and whether its dubious characters ever existed except in a teenage myth.

Two appropriate real names that I recall......

Barry Allcock (UKPI candidate for Meriden that did talk as stated).

Tony Snowjob (US Press Secretary that could bury most disasters under a snowflake)

I hear he was successful and made a lot of money. Apparently he likes to splash it around, but on the face of it, you can't blame him.

In a previous employment I had a colleague called Teresa Greene.

She was delighted when she got married and became Teresa Smith but it ruined our fun

On the subject of poorly chosen names, Phil and Gary's dad Neville Neville takes some beating - what on earth was his parents thinking!

I used to know an author who was brilliant at playing pool with a pint glass balanced on the back of her hand - wonder whatever happened to Beatrix Potter?

As we all know, Nigel Lawson named his daughter Nigella.

Apparently, Salman Rushdie had the same idea, but then thought better of it.

Looking through a Dethleffs motorhome brochure a while ago, I noticed one of the joint MD's was a chap called G u n t h e r W a n k.

I suppose it could have been worse, his first name could have been Hans.
