Indeed, Leadbelly. Thirsty for a win, especially this weekend. We're breathing similar air as Albert Einstein. Back in the day, some Jordache jeans had no pockets. I looked really like a knob in high school. Mum got me one of those "man-purses" too, and it nearly traumatized me. Actually, this begs for another thread. One Christmas (10-11-ish) mum got me a shag rug jacket and Kangaroos trainers. A year later, "Kangaroos" were hip. I'm glad I survived middle-school with that jacket and bell-bottoms to live another day. Gotta luv mums. edit: I'd like to return in time and buy clothes for my mum when she was a teen and embarrass her to living heck. I digress.... This is a Must Win. No multi-coloured turtle neck sweaters or bell-bottoms. [Post edited 4 Feb 2016 14:50]

"Shag rug" now I definitely think we have a problem with the English language! This side of the pond a shag rug is not something you would make a jacket out of!

TOOT, the frikin thing was orange and like carpeting. We were not exactly rich, so whatever jacket mum got me for Christmas was what I was stuck with January to April. For all I know she found it in a thrift shop. The Kangaroos trainers she actually bought brand new, bless her confused heart. My grandma is the one who got me (soccer) footballs and ice hockey skates and a stick; a gorgeous wooden sled where I might have killed myself if not for fleet of feet turns. There was a tree in Nuremberg that I was always able to navigate left of. In my 50's now, I can't believe I took that chance. .. Back on point. What I wouldn't give to be at Roots Hall this weekend. I'll console myself with U's Player. This is not a relegation 6 pointer. It's much more than that. Up the U's.
