Tom, a friend of mine, had his second son Alfie in December of 2014 unfortunately Alfie was born with Norrie Disease, here’s a bit of Alfie’s story. “Alfie was born on the 22nd of December 2014, we were absolutely over the moon with our new addition to the family, but within a few days we could tell that there was something seriously wrong with his eyes. Over the next few weeks we saw specialist after specialist until we were eventually given the devastating news that Alfie has Norrie disease and that there was nothing that could be done to help his vision, and that there was likely to be further complications down the line, such as hearing loss and developmental delays.” http://www.gazette-news.co.uk/news/14021526.Family_raise_enough_money_to_send_li http://www.gazette-news.co.uk/news/14131756.Little_Alfie_has_lifechanging_op_in_ On Saturday Tom is running from Colchester to Southend for the Southend United Colchester United match to raise more funds and every single pound of your kind donation will go to help Alfie to help his vision and will also spur Tom on. http://www.gazette-news.co.uk/news/14186036.Tom_Leggett_to_run_39_miles_to_South http://www.gofundme.com/alfiesvision [Post edited 5 Feb 2016 23:01]
