Tom, a friend of mine, had his second son Alfie in December of 2014 unfortunately Alfie was born with Norrie Disease, here’s a bit of Alfie’s story.
“Alfie was born on the 22nd of December 2014, we were absolutely over the moon with our new addition to the family, but within a few days we could tell that there was something seriously wrong with his eyes. Over the next few weeks we saw specialist after specialist until we were eventually given the devastating news that Alfie has Norrie disease and that there was nothing that could be done to help his vision, and that there was likely to be further complications down the line, such as hearing loss and developmental delays.”
