Or you could say I'm barmy to be in Cleethorpes having just got home from golf in Essex.
Braintree at least holding their own and have had the better chances. Good support for the Iron. Fancy them over two legs. Michael Cheek could be the difference between the teams

Cmon The Iron!

Second thought, go on Grimsby!

Either would be great. Get to see, get to go see, Braintree maybe. No problem no worries. Grimsby would do me fine too.

An ugly win...and how we could have done with a couple of those.

Well done Braintree.

Worked their socks off . Everyone did there job .
What price first fixture next season away at WHCS, would throughly deserve it .

Still a long way to go but I really hope they make it.

Would a team of part timers winning promotion to the football league be as impressive as Leicester winning the PL?

Home now. Thoroughly enjoyed a "backs to the wall" performance although the BBC sport possesion percentage is a bit puzzling. A similar Cressing Road performance is required to get the "part-timers" to Wembley

You hit the nail, Gerry. Either Grimsby Town or Braintree up would not hurt me at all. One of em at Wembley, that would be surreal.

Just watching the second leg of Forest Green v Dover. Don't think Braintree or Grimsby have much to worry about in the final apart from neck ache.

Might now be for the U's, has Grimsby have returned to the Football League with a 3-1 victory in the play off final against Forest Green .

At least we can have a pie, burger or haddock sandwich at blundell park next season. No vegetarian food on their menu!

Plymouth have to be favourites to go up from league two now.

Shame - I have no particular fondness for either club, but Forest Green would at least have been a fairly local trip for me - Gerry and Durham will be happier I reckon.

I'm now taking bookings for U's visit to Grimsby / Cleethorpes. Hopefully it will be whilst Summer is still with us as Cleethorpes in Winter is grim!

Personally I find the North Sea coastal 'resorts' like Cleethorpes, Skeggy and Whitby (yes I have holidayed at all three) have more charm and allure out of season anyway - the grimmer the better...

...which is probably just as well, given the summer season on the North Sea is usually at best a long weekend in August?

You are a well travelled man Wessex.
I think your estimate of Summer on the North Sea coast being a long weekend is stretching it a bit !

Red Molotov, purveyors of T shirts etc, have a range featuring those posters, some of which are quite amusing. For some reason I can't create a link on my tablet so you'll have to have a look for yourself.
