With the twelve Premier league members confirming their registration for this season, I can now confirm that there will be three relegated from the Premier, and three promoted from Division One (two automatically, and one through the play-offs). With two members returning, and one newcomer, we have a fifteen strong Division One. After missing the final two weeks of last season, and the first one of this, I fear TheNet may have left. He still has three weeks to register, before unfortunately being expelled.
After losing out in the Division One play-offs last season, WessiehomesPete (Formerly known as Barsidepete) started this season with a bang. By getting the Everton draw, and the Carlisle win spot-on, with three other outcomes, is the seasons first top scorer with an excellent 9 points. gsy163 has been beaten in the last two Division One play-offs, and he staked an early claim to at least match that again, by having the Carlisle win to go with his Morecambe win spot-on, on his way to a very good 7 points. Not surprisingly they lead the way in Division One, with a solid 6 points from durham_exile giving him the third spot. The first to post rule then comes into play to decide many of the positions below these three.
The 1 all draws at Everton and Middlesbrough were the main source for the 3 pointers on this first week, but RSCOSWORTH was only one to get both of them, and those 6 points obtained were enough for him to lead the Premier at this early stage. The next three positions are decided by the first to post, with newly promoted burnsieespana and Tropical_Us straight to the fore in the top league. The top three from last season in the Premier, occupy three of the bottom four places, after this first week. With Champion ethicsgirl firing a rare blank.
