3-0, second for Dickenson (again, think another assist from Porter?). In what sounds like a fairly even game, we are taking them apart every time we're going forward!

Happy Days!!!

Gerry I'm here only just home from Durham and Newcastle.

Just give us the League trophy now.

He may not get into this team! Wow.

3-1

Grimsby pull an early goal back, alarm bells starting to tinkle if we don't get back into control...

15 minutes to go, have we weathered the storm...and more importantly have we another goal in us, or just be happy to hold on and kill the game?

Hartlepool pull another back to leave it at 3-2 for Crewe.

Hahaha - even before posting, Hartlepool Crewe now 3-3!

FT - U's win 3-2 after an injury-time 2nd from Grimsby. Disappointed to see our goal difference pegged back, but still 3pts to the U's and top of the table!

Pompey here we come!

Edit, scratch that, after Lootown snatch an injury-time 2nd of their own, but still right up there in the promotion mix in second place!

Too close for comfort but take the win

After my harsh 6/10 on Saturday that was a much better performance against a better side. The two goals conceded were a bit sloppy but overall there was only going to be one winner. Guthrie was much better pushing forwards although at times that meant we were playing five up front leaving Tom Lapslie patrolling the entire midfield (he really put in a shift) which gave the visitors space to play in. It did net us three goals though.

Dickenson was excellent again, as was Porter.

Agree with all that plus Kinsella looks a big upgrade on any left back from last season.

Entertaining game with three goals and hitting the woodwork three times. Good to see the team playing with much greater tempo, defence putting the ball into row Z when required and, very encouraging, we have put in more decent crosses and corners in two home games than we managed all of last season.
