BIRMINGHAM 1 WOLVES 3
Wolves come from behind to beat 10-man Birmingham. Only mfb_cufc predicted a Wolves win, but their late third goal means he gets just the one point.
BRISTOL CITY 0 NEWCASTLE 1
Gayle's fourth goal of the season wins it for Newcastle, in front of the biggest crowd at Ashton Gate for 26 years. Well done to Tropical_Us for being the only one to get this spot-on, but there were 14 who had the outcome.
ROTHERHAM 1 BRENTFORD 0
Rotherham get their first win of the season with this narrow victory. Well done to mrhappy for being the only one to have this spot-on, with 5 getting the outcome.
MILLWALL 2 SHEFFIELD UNITED 1
An 89th minute penalty wins it for Millwall. A big 7 got this spot-on, with a further 15 having the outcome, in what was today's banker.
OXFORD UNITED 2 PETERBOROUGH 1
Another late penalty, this time in the 93rd minute, gets Oxford their first win of the season, against 10-man Peterborough. Well done to Gate16 for being the only one to predict this, and there were 5 who got the outcome.
SOUTHEND 1 BRISTOL ROVERS 1
Yet another penalty rescues a point for Southend. A decent 5 got this spot-on, and another 4 had the outcome.
Points for everybody this week, but the"surprise" wins for Wolves, Rotherham, and Oxford, meant is was overall a tough one to find those 3 pointers. It was left to the weeks good thing Millwall, and the Southend draw, to give respectability for most. Thanks to a dodgy internet connection, and late goals from Millwall and Oxford, Gate16, with his blind 2-1's, was the only one to get two spot-on. So he is this weeks top scorer, with what turned out to be a very good 7 points.
In the Premier, it is still RSCOSWORTH leading the way, but now only by having more 3 pointers than thrillseeker. Though only one point separates the top four. Not surprisingly the biggest mover in these early stages is Gate16, with his top scoring week taking him up to fifth. At the bottom ethicsgirl gets her first points, but remains the shock early straggler. Just above her is jonestones, who is still finding his feet after last seasons promotion.
In Division One, a solid 5 points from WessiehomesPete increases his lead, as he shows serious intentions of reclaiming the Premier spot he lost two seasons ago. The next three places are also occupied by former Premier members, and a solid 5 points for each, puts them in early contention. At the bottom there is also a surprise in this league, with Colukev in the wooden spoon spot, after making the play-offs for the past two seasons.
