Park & Ride car park and its ticketing couldn't cope with the volume. Hence A12 junction and access roads hence blocked. Queues from Bruff Close. Bus lanes blocked. Access to main car park choked.
We left Victoria Inn early at 16:45; promptly caught Park & Ride bus; crawled up Via Romae Urbanis; Persuaded the bus driver to drop us off early to walk the last quarter mile; just made kick off. Stadium was then only one third full. People were still coming in at half time with tales of woe about access and parking. Yet we had twice as many for Lionel Ritchie.
