Jessica Ennis-Hill 20:37 - Oct 13 with 576 views | Leadbelly | Announced her retirement today. "in a tainted era, there has been no better sporting role model". Spot on. She has been brilliant.

Jessica Ennis-Hill on 23:51 - Oct 13 with 561 views | noah4x4 | Perhaps going to look a bit foolish if Ched Evans is wholly acquitted? Is his current retrial significant to her timing? The odds seem to favour acquittal. One can't condone his loose morals, and if guilty, it was right he "did the time" for the crime. But that was his appropriate punishment in a court of law. Ennis-Hill demanding that he should not be allowed to work and that her name should be removed from Bramhall Lane if he did kick a ball again wasn't a judicial punishment. It is justice by the celebrity/mob. But what if he is guilty and her opinion of him vindicated? I await the verdict with interest. Will the women of Chesterfield drive him out of town? I don't condone rape or the abuse of women. But surely any punishment must be the domain of law not celebrity coersion of businesses and deprivation of an individuals right to be employed. Now we have celebrities apologising " on behalf of Great Britain" for the plight of refugees. I have no problem with legitimate protest, and have some sympathy with Lily Allen, as more could be done, but what right have celebrities like these two women to dictate justice or claim to represent the will of the British people? . Jessica Ennis-Hill on 18:50 - Oct 14 with 510 views | noah4x4 | Supporters and family of Ched Evans might campaign against it. Perhaps a role model in how celebrities seem to think they have a right to dictate justice and to use their influence over the media to sway public opinion? Whatever her laudable service to British athletics, her conduct regarding his matter was an affront to the fairness of British justice. Nobody can ever condone Evans obvious loose morals or his cheating on his girlfriend - who has always stood by him despite the possibility that he might have never played professional football again. But if he was guilty, it is for the law to determine justice not a hysterical mob. The man has unjustly served time, and been deprived of income. Who will pay?...... and will she apologise, or can we depend on Lily Allen to "apologise on behalf of the people of Great Britain"? [Post edited 14 Oct 2016 18:53]

That's if you believe Noah that a man's guilt or innocence of the charge of rape is largely dependent on the sexual history of the girl he was charged with, and originally found guilty of, raping? Personally, I don't. As for Lily Allen, please do seek out and understand her original comment, the context in which it was said, to whom, and why, rather than reacting to the right-wing media headlines.

Jessica Ennis-Hill on 08:55 - Oct 16 with 452 views | noah4x4 | There was a lot more to it this one aspect that grabbed the headlines Wessex. But since Ched Evans has requested we let the matter rest then maybe that is wise. My point was more about celebrities attempting to misdirected public opinion.
Jessica Ennis-Hill on 09:16 - Oct 16 with 451 views | bwildered | Unconvinced she was trying to influence a conviction by jury, by her status, but trying to stand up for women's moral /rights , and a club which used her name in one respect but then did opposite . Ched Evans, now on the list of Stefan Kisklo and Barry George re British Justice.
