Have the club decided that Collins is good enough now to be understudy to Hornsby ? If not another keeper is required.

Two formers now free agents, Macauley Bonne and Alex Gilby .

Was never convinced about Bonne and imagine Gilbey will sign for Stevenage as been on loan all season, I believe.

Celtic and Arsenal are interested in Colchester United youngster Makhaya James after his outstanding performances at youth level.

Yes saw after 20 years at Walsall he was not retained and same thought occurred to me.

Connor Wood released by Orient…..

I’m not 100% convinced by him, but others might disagree?

Agreed, I prefer Kazeem.

I'm waiting for Rochdale to announce their departures and hope that we can sign Devante Rodney and Dan Kemp from MK Dons.

I'd have either or both of those players back. Proven at this level and above. I imagine both will end up at a League One club though. Wouldn't surprise me to see Bonne back at Orient and Gilbey sign permanently for Stevenage.

I thought he was decent for us personally. I think the fact that Garner didn't play him towards the end of the season indicated that we probably wouldn't be looking to sign him permanently. Kazeem has potential but still very raw, he'll only improve by playing though.

I saw Charlton have also released Ryan Inniss who had a decent spell for us on loan from Palace back in the 2017/18 season. Would've worked with Garner before as well. Four red cards last season isn't great though.

Yes, need to relook at players Garner had in his charge at Charlton and particularly Swindon, with many now out of deals has he signed season before last, after McG left him without a squad on his own departure.
Johnny Williams comes to mind, if available, was a decent left sided, footed player who could do us a job.

FORMER Colchester United loan duo Beryly Lubala and Luke Garbutt have been released by Blackpool.

Luke Garbutt fits the bill perfectly, just the wages ?

I think McGreal was sold a pup taking on the Swindon job, only discovering so once he was in post.

Personally don't think either would add value to our squad.

Luke Norris released by Stevenage for whom he was a proven goal scorer and a player of the season.

Did he fail at Colchester because of the one up front policies of Humes?

Is that what has blighted all of our strikers?

Is he worth bringing back? Or will he resent his exit?

Leaving aside your Tony Humes ‘thing’, even if Chuck would consider coming back, and that’s a big IF given the manner of his departure and somewhat negative image amongst portions of the fan base, I don’t think he’d be a good fit with what Ben Garner wants to achieve.

Haven't seen Garbutt play in a long, long time but he was excellent for us in his previous loan spell. That was quite some years ago though.

I'm surprised Stevenage have released him to be honest. For me he was a player we didn't really get the best out of. Great striker of the ball and one of the best finishers we've had in recent times but not that effective as a lone striker and I always felt he needed to be playing every week to get the best out of him. Maybe Evans thinks the same and can't see him being a regular starter next season.

Or maybe a high earner?
Was surprised still only 29.
Personally not really in favour of players coming back as rarely works out.
Suspect Garner might spring a few surprise signings who we never thought of

The biggest news is that Jonny Williams will also be leaving Swindon after two seasons at The County Ground. The midfielder, who has thirty-three caps for Wales, has been a crucial figure for Town and was a shining light for them last season, despite their struggles. The skilful 29-year-old could be tough to replace and will be a big miss for Flynn next season.

Did wonder if he will be heading our way as BG originally signed him for Swindon would be my guess.

Coached him at Palace too apparently, and he’s local to the south east. This one might actually have legs?
