David Wright and Josh Thompson have both signed new one-year contracts.

The pair joined the U's in the January transfer window last year — Wright signing on a free transfer from Crystal Palace and Thompson from Portsmouth after a two-month loan — and while Wright has been an active member of the first team, making 37 appearances last season, Thompson spent most of 2013/14 out injured, resulting in just one sub appearance.

With the duo committing their future to the club for another year, and the new signings of Sean Clohessy, Ben Gordon and Chris Lewington earlier this week, Joe Dunne's squad currently includes 20 players with more than one senior appearance under their belt.
