Olufemi Out For Six Months
Monday, 4th Aug 2014 13:27

Young winger Tosin Olufemi faces a lengthy spell on the sidelines after rupturing his Achilles Tendon during the friendly match at Bishop's Stortford last week.

The 20-year-old, who made 22 appearances last season (14 starts) after breaking through from the development setup, had surgery on the ankle injury last week and will have to spend the next two months recovering before he can start rehabilitation.

Physio Tony Flynn told the club's website: "I suspected he had ruptured the Achilles straight away and was on the phone to the surgeon at half time to pencil Tosin in for the operation as soon as possible.

"Studies have shown that the quicker the operation is performed, the better it is so it was great that we got Tosin in the next day.

"He is already back at home recovering but it will be a lengthy lay-off, about six months usually."
