Baldwin Set To Sign New Deal Wednesday, 1st Jul 2009 14:13 Pat Baldwin is set to remain with the U's next season, with a new deal likely to be signed in the next few days. Baldwin, who has spent seven years with the U's follow his release from Chelsea, looks certain to sign after a few complications have been ironed out. After a difficult campaign ravaged by injury in 2007/2008, 'Rio' became a regular under Paul Lambert, and is Colchester's second longest serving player behind Kem Izzet. Speaking to the East Anglian Daily Times, Baldwin stated "It's not quite official yet, but I will be playing for Colchester United next season. That's been my intention for weeks now, and I'm 99% certain to sign in the next few days. I'm really looking forward to the start of pre-season and beginning all over again.” Photo: Action Images Please report offensive, libellous or inappropriate posts by using the links provided.
