Surman Takes Flight Tuesday, 22nd Jun 2010 22:52 Ex Saints star Andrew Surman has scotched hopes that he might be making a swift return to St Mary's by signing a three year deal with Norwich City. Surman's tenure at Wolves was not a succesful one and he found himself unable to break into the Molyneaux first team and surplus to Mick McCarthy's requirements for next season with the Black Country club clearly thinking that a second successive season in the Premier will allow them to spend a little bigger. Many Saints fans hoped that Surman might return to St Mary's however it looks like the lure of Championship football over a year in League 1 has swung it in the direction of East Anglia. Saints supporters will be disapointed not to see the ex St Mary's College schoolboy return home, but not disapointed in the man himself and perhaps this time next year might yet see more speculation linking him with a return home, if Saints can follo the Canarie's flight back to the 2nd tier in English football Photo: Action Images Please report offensive, libellous or inappropriate posts by using the links provided.
