So now it has come to light that the £750,000 clause isn't allowing clubs to talk to him but actually the value he can be sold for.
In my opinion for that kind of money why not keep him for next season even if it means losing him for nothing at the end of the season, if having him in the side helps us gain promotion then it's well worth the risk.
He will then have his time in the premiership as every player wants, there is no way we would be able to bring someone in to fill such a huge gap it would leave for anything near £750,000 even with Thorne we still should be doing everything possible to keep him at the club. |  | | |  |

If a player clearly wants to leave there's no point keeping him. The best we can hope for now is that there's a bidding war and we get a lot of money.
It's tragic. I can't think of a player we've had in recent years who'll be harder to replace. Jeff Hendrick had better have his boots ready. |  |
