Hoops They Did It Again! - Rams Reveal 11/12 Home Kit!

Unlike previous years DCFC has wasted no time in launching the design of their new home kit. As has been the case in recent years the kit is basic white and seemingly as years go becoming plainer in design.

The club officially unveiled the kit today and first impression is that there is little to separate the new design from last season except it has moved even closer to a full white shirt with less of the famous Adidas triple stripe down the shoulders.

The most interesting aspect is it seems to have shiny white hoops in the material around teh stomach area, which could very well be a way of allowing the kit to breath but will be interesting to inspect up close as to how it actually looks and wears.

If similarly to this seasons kit and the hoops are a more see - through section designed to allow airflow to the wearer, unfortunately for those fans like me who have let themselves go slightly (go to the fridge that is!), it may be a case of hoops and rolls!

Current player of the season John Brayford was impressed when he spoke to the official site:

"The shirt gets lighter and more comfortable every season."

"Adidas raise the bar each year and once again they've produced something that players will enjoy wearing, but also looks impressive.

"I think supporters will really like this new kit and hopefully we can be successful in it."

As much as John likes it, unimaginative but tidy is my verdict.

We have had better but have also had much, much worse. It would be a presentable kit to win promotion in this season so that’s all that really matters as we must look good for the front page stories that will result.

I know the RamZone team will groan when they read the following statement (having complained for many a year about this issue), the biggest disappointment for me is once again we don’t get a collar.

I mean, are collars that out of fashion?

Surely a collar is more in fashion than shiny hoops?

Am I that out of touch?

Do I no longer know what is hip n’ cool!?

Actually don’t answer those questions……….!!

The other thing I am pondering is whether making a kit much the same as last season is a very good marketing ploy, especially when the idea of updated kits is just that.

By making the kit similar to the last it gives fans even less of a reason to update.

That is of course unless you chose to have Moxey, Porter or Pringle printed on your shirt last campaign.
