Double-Bill Exclusive For RamsTrust’s AGM Event!
Monday, 12th Sep 2011 13:29 by Paul Mortimer

The Derby County Supporters Society, RamsTrust, hold their 9th Annual General Meeting at Pride Park Stadium on Tuesday, September 13th (7.30 pm).

Members will conduct the formal agenda of annual reports, accounts and election results - and after that, there’s a great double-bill on offer!

The post-AGM double-bill is an open event (admission is free) with an exclusive presentation from the authors of a new Derby County publication, plus a football Q & A featuring a guest appearance from one of the region’s top football writers.

“A Derby County Miscellany” is a forthcoming book by Phil Matthews and Gareth Davis. It’s a new 160-page hardback collection of Derby County trivia, history, facts and stats - and Phil and Gareth will be our guests to talk about the book, its background and their passion - Derby County FC.

Tuesday’s event is a RamsTrust exclusive! The book is hot off the press and will be available to fans for the first time on the night. A limited number of signed copies will be available for you to buy - so be there to make sure of your copy.

Steve Nicholson, chief football writer of the Derby Telegraph, is joining us too for the open Q & A football discussion, so it promises to be a fascinating night for Rams fans!

Phil Matthews is a well-known sports broadcaster and writer whom you’ll know from his Ram FM radio days and Setanta TV work. He’s been a Rams fan for 40 years and has published a previous Derby County book, “On This Day”.

Gareth’s career has seen him progress from reporting for the Matlock Mercury to roles in Derby County’s media department, managing the club’s website and the successful editorship of the award-winning Derby County matchday programme, the Ram Magazine.

There is a wealth of experience and opinion from our guests, all steeped in Derby County knowledge and ready to chatter on all Rams matters with you! Don’t miss out - book now!

With a double-bill like that, you will want to reserve your place as soon as possible and members are now urged to confirm attendance at the AGM by sending your details to: ramstrust@ramstrust.org.uk.

Non-members can attend the after-AGM event (subject to capacity) and we look forward to welcoming you.

See you there!
