What I.Saw: I Could Dream For More & Complain About Less
Sunday, 3rd May 2015 12:50 by I.Saw

A period of reflection. We finished the season in relegation form.

Too many players frightened to show for the ball.

Too many watchers not enough achievers.

Too many odd selection choices culminating in Warnock as a holding midfielder.

Too many points thrown away.

One point from the play offs.

Yet a million miles better than under Clough.

Yes we failed. We failed spectacularly. We clutched defeat from the jaws of certainty.

It's life. We need to deal with it.

We all have our views as to how and why we should do it.

For now though it's enough for me that over the season we finished above Notts Forest and Dirty Leeds.

I could dream for more, I could complain about less.

We achieved what we deserved over the season.

I'll rest easy.

God, you're easily pleased or clutching at straws. The latter, I think.

Million miles better than Clough? McClaren's signings have been woeful in comparison bar Thorne who has been so unfortunate. Clough got pelters when he played Brayford as a holding midfielder at Brighton if I remember rightly. You don't go experimenting on the most important game of the season.

We couldn't even finish 7th!

A summer of transition ahead and some hard choices.
