As editor of RamZone, being based in Australia presents unique challenges, the time difference is one of those challenges. As I write this my day is winding down, while for most of you, things are only just getting started!

The clock has finally ticked over to Christmas for many of you folk and no doubt a busy afternoon and evening lay ahead, full of festive family fun. In contrast my race has been run, besides the obligatory leftovers and sitting down to watch below par Aussie Television (my kingdom for a Doctor Who Christmas special!).

Family, food, excited kids and FIFA 16 filled my day (playing as Derby of course), I hope yours is full of whatever makes the day special for you and adds holiday cheer in abundance.

Not that most Rams fans would need much encouragement to be cheery, the team has been on an amazing run on the pitch and sit in the automatic promotion places, only points from the summit of the Championship tree.

Derby has a couple of massive matches coming up over the holiday period and positive results could ensure the Rams are well placed to make a real charge at promotion, hopefully through the comfort of a far less stressful automatic spot .

But that can all wait for another day (that day being tomorrow), as today is about family, friends and all the things that make the festive season unique.

Whatever it means to you, on behalf of myself and all of our hard working fan based writing team, I would like to wish our readers and all Rams fans a safe and very Happy Christmas.

Hopefully tomorrow there will be another present delivered to Rams fans... 3 points wrapped in a bow!
