RamZone Wrap: Watch The Goals, Reaction & Look Hughes Back!
Sunday, 10th Apr 2016 13:32 by Daniel J Sewart

As they were on Tuesday night against Hull, the Rams were unstoppable as they recorded back to back victories and confirmed the relegation of Bolton Wanderers.

Johnny Russell was a deserved man of the match with a brace, one of which was a jaw dropping power drive from well outside the box.

Ince and Butterfield collected the other two goals for the Rams with Zach Clough scoring a consolation when the Rams concede a sloppy penalty to Bolton.

It was another all action from display from Derby who have definitely re-discovered their mojo. Yes the opponents have been poor, but there is no doubt the pressure, energy and tempo have been on another level to what they have served up since the turn of the year. They never gave their opponents an inch from the first whistle.

And to put the icing on the cake — Will Hughes ran out for his first appearance since the opening day against the season when he went down at Bolton, now on his return Bolton went down at Derby.

Has Darren Wassall finally ironed out the creases he inherited? Is it he or the experienced head of Harry Redknapp that have triggered this resurgence? Maybe it’s a mix of both coupled with the fact this is a talented team who just had to get it together eventually.

Whatever the reason, the last two matches have been something to savour after it seemed the Rams were once again heading towards another disappointing end to a season.

Instead now there is hope and signs that the Rams will be able to not just compete but genuinely make a red hot go of the play-offs as they look more likely to hold onto their spot in the top 6.
