G.M's Match Preview: Bent Will Score & Rams Will Win Against Canaries
Saturday, 26th Nov 2016 06:01 by George Martin

In form Derby welcome an out of form Norwich to town for a match that would narrow the gap on the top six if the Rams can manage a fourth straight victory.

With Derby having won their last three games, Norwich have not won in their last five league games but they will still be tough opposition for the home side, as the visitors posses quality and experienced players.

Derby are likely to remain unchanged, but Weimann may come in for Russell on the wing. Johnson will continue to play in the holding midfield role with Hughes and Butterfield hoping to see and use lots of the ball with both being technically good players.

Camara is back in training and may come onto the bench to add extra options and width. The ever impressive Max Lowe will continue at left back whilst Olsson struggles with a knee injury and long term injured Thorne, Forsyth and Christie are all out for Derby.

Olsson’s twin brother at Norwich also misses out as he is suspended after a hilarious handball on the line which saw him see red while Graham Dorran's is also suspended.

Youssouf Mulumbu is closing on a return after breaking his foot in the EFL Cup win at Everton in September and Ivo Pinto is in doubt with a groin injury, he will face a late fitness test.

Match Prediction:

Despite their recent drop in form, Norwich are a good team and reside in the top 6. They've kept the majority of the squad that came down from the Premier League and have some genuine quality in their ranks, with players like Jerome and Snodgrass.

Although they have lost Hames, they have still managed to score goals — something the Rams will need to stop.

Derby will have to be on top form to win this game but confidence is high, the attacking football is now back and The Rams are looking solid at the back.

This game could easily be a 2-2 draw but let's use form as a guide. Derby to win 2-1 with Bent to score and continue his recent career revival.
