Happy New Year - Watch Out 2017 The Rams Are Coming!!
Sunday, 1st Jan 2017 00:44 by Daniel J Sewart

On the pitch the year may have ended with a slightly disappointing draw but sitting in 7th place, after such a terrible start to the season, at least gives the Rams a chance to make something of this campaign.

Heading into 2017 having gone 10 matches unbeaten including 8 wins and 2 draws, has produced much positivity around Derby and amongst Rams fans

The return of Steve McClaren to the club has replaced the feeling the club was about to crash and burn with optimism that however this season pans out, we are on track for the future and it is no longer a case of 'if' but 'when'.

The draw against strugglers Wigan takes us into the New Year in a great position - one that the team can build on if they are good enough.

Plus we could see the return of a prolific in form number 9, if club and player can sort out the mess that saw him sent away in the first place...

Here's hoping the boys can get their first win of 2017 in the Championship over Norwich and restore their place in the top 6.

Savour every moment of the current run don't let the inevitable bad days get you down - because no matter what - we are all Rams through thick and thin!

We have waited and this year could be our turn for some thick after a couple of thin ends to recent campaigns.

On behalf of myself and the writing team at RamZone I would like to wish all of our readers a very Happy New Year. May it be a great one for both you personally and for our mighty Rams on the football field.

Watch out 2017 — The Rams are coming!

And to start the New Year below is, in our opinion, the best result from 2016... one that came very late in the year.

We doubt you will disagree with our choice!

COYR!!
