G.M's Match Preview: The Run May End Soon But Lets Stay Positive
Monday, 2nd Jan 2017 10:58 by George Martin

After a disappointing performance and result against Wigan, Derby makes the tough trip to Carrow Road to play Norwich City.

The starting eleven against Wigan should have been freshened up with Camara and Bryson starting. Those substitutions could have been made on twenty minutes and should have been made at half time, but sadly they weren't.

Wigan were very well organised and let their wide players go man for man on the Derby attacking threats. Anya was the biggest attacking threat as Wigan were also very well disciplined and had the better chances to score.

Hughes is suspended for two matches and Bryson is likely to be his replacement. Camara or Weimann could come in for Russell, but this is a difficult decision to make being away from home. Bent should also be fit.

The rest of the team should remain the same with ex Canary Johnson in the holding role, Ince on the right wing and Anya at left back.

Robbie Brady is banned for Norwich as he got a straight red against Brentford. Midfielder Jonny Howson returns and will look to start after one-match ban while Graham Dorrans and Matt Jarvis are still out with knee injuries. Louis Thompson is still out injured with an abdominal injury.

Norwich have slipped from the top two out of the top six, having only won two of their last twelve league games. However, they are still play neat football and creating chances. They are just not taking them and seem to lack a top striker to challenge for the top two.

Match Prediction:

This will be a tough game for Derby. The same players have played a lot of games in a short period of time and this seemed prominent against Wigan at home.

Norwich attacking Derby will give them more space that they can exploit. If Norwich take their chances they will score so Derby will be sternly tested and need to keep it very tight.

Derby are still on a good run and this may come to an end soon, but let's stay positive and go for 1-1 draw with Bryson to score.
