Marc joined the Rams as a free agent from Norwich City, signing a three year contract. An experienced defender, he started his career at Plymouth Argyle before moving on to Palace, with whom he spent three years

At the beginning of the 98/99 season, he joined Coventry City with whom he played until 2002, playing three of those four seasons in the Premiership. August 2002 saw him move to Wolves before moving to Norwich one year later.

Marc brings a wealth of experience to the Rams' young defence, having been a regular starter in the Premiership for both Coventry and Norwich.
